I just bought the black LED headlight for my '11 Crossbones and will install it today. I think the black version will look awesome on the Bones! As for looking modern, well, I guess the digital gauge display on the Bones is also very modern. Yes, the Crossbones is supposed to look like the 1947 Knucklehead, but I like to take advantage of some of the better "modern" stuff, also. Even with the lights, shifter levers, pads, etc....it still looks the vintage part. I'll post pics when I get it hooked up

I'll be waiting for those pics! I'll let you be the guinea pig and I'll make a decision from there. I think as far as safety goes, it might be worth the investment.
I installed the HID light on my bike last week... Brighter than the stock and 1/5th of the price comparing it to the LED! Should be enough for me at least for a couple of years or until I have enough money to invest on an LED
I just hooked up the LED headlight and it looks awesome on this bike....much, much better in person than in the photo. By the way, this is my new Crossbones. Not as modified or fancy as others on the forum, but it suits me very well.

Your bike is very cool! Now I'm thinking about the LED headlight. Wish I had not already bought another!
It's more like stock, so I probably should have typed chrome. I was probably thinking black and white after reading the motor cop reference above. Personally, I purchased the LED headlamp for the safety factor more than the looks. The "black" just helped push me over the high price tag and is an added bonus. One of the first things I did to my bike was have all the turn indicators change over to LED as well.
+1 I bought it solely for the safety factor. My OEM headlight was only 9 months old and working fine. But with only 1 headlight, I feel safer with the brightest one I can get. I'm seriously considering putting some aux lights on (just like my Deluxe) as well. I like to be seen and the more lights the better. The black one looks AWESOME on the LO.

I'm getting the LED headlight (Black) put on my Lo this week while it's hibernating at the dealership. Pretty pumped to see how it works out. Not too much of a thread jack, but did you do a special flasher for the LEDs on the turn signals or did you get a resistor kit or something else, TNB?
Dealer put on the HD LED Tail light and I have the HD LED Brake light under my air wing luggage rack too... What can I say, I <3 LED
