Need a little help guys. Tried the search thread and looked through the book and cannot get a definite answer. I have obtained a chromed swingarm off a 03 deuce and want to put it on my 07 deuce. In the parts manual I see where there is one for 06/07, and for softail 08 and above. Does anyone know if these are interchangeable? I called the local stealership and they were as confused as they usually are. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Hey,
My advise is to check the part number for the stock black arm of the 07 deuce and the stock arm of the 03 deuce. The deuce is the only softail that didn't get the 200 tire starting in 06. I think you will be ok, but trying it may be the only way to tell for sure
part number 2007 swing arm is
48746-07 - Rear Fork Kit, black w/tape, narrow tire only
the 07 at the end makes me think the 03 might not fit, but when I look at the frame number for the 07 Deuce, that one is:
47008-00C - Frame
Which means there were no changes made to the frame since 2000, so the 2003 swing arm should fit after all, but you might have some problems with the alignment of the sprocket or wheel..
like chopper said!! they didnt go 200 so should be fine!!should be straight swap!!
if you change swing arm put a narrow 06 belt and pulley on and an 18x5.5 wheel and you can run a 200, a deuce fender will take it!
