Default DIY front brakes for 03 heritage...help needed

putting on new front tire so gonna go ahead and do brakes also, this will be my first attempt, ? how do you keep them from dragging/rubbing on the rotor . any tips, trickks ...greatly appreciated.

this bike only has 11k on it .and the brakes rub and i hate that..

Hate to say it but theirs not much you can do short of going to a 2-piece rotor and that won't completely stop it. Just clean the pistons good, and but some grease on the brake pad pins. Make sure you use grease designed for this application.
