haven't posted here in a while too busy surfing the "ShowDown Forum." Anyway, can anyone recommend somewhere (website or store) where I can find a side mount license plate kit. Kuryakyn has one that is pretty expensive and has a light. I'm looking for a basic one with no light.
I have 2004 Fatboy with the license plate mounted on the rear fender and looking to move it. Like the side mount look better.
Do uou have saddle bags? My bags wont fit with the side plate because the plate sticks up to high, so I have to take it off and extend the arm that holds the plate to the wheel out further (welding) and then repaint it... If I had to do it all over again I would go with the one with the light on it... not to mention you can get a ticket for not having a light on the tag...
All the plate mount is, is a bent piece of metal. If the Road 6 don't work for U, Just go to Lowes and buy a piece of sheet metal and bend to the dimention you need, leave an area above the plate location to mount your light. Drill a hole for the axle, 4 holes for the plate, paint it, and you're set.
