Side Mount License Plate
I'm looking to side-mount my license plate, but all the kits are $120 or more plus shipping. I'd make my own but I don't know how.
Are there any cheaper kits available?

Looks good. But I think legally in Ontario I require a light pointed at the license plate? Theirs all look bulky and weird.

i have a similar side plate to the road 6 customs one i "modified" from a tv wall mount bracket.
here in the uk we also have to have a light to illuminate the plate so i got something like this off ebay

works well enough, small so its not noticeable either.

$3 worth of aluminum diamond plate, a cateye taillight, and some drilling for mounting
theres a tab at 90degrees to the plate itself that is drilled so that it is bolted on to the fender strut with the same bolt as the fender
