I'm sure it will be fine. I would personally ask for some merchandise credit from someone hgiher up than sales manager, and be pleasant and shake hads at the same time. If they say no, then so be it. Throwing a fit isnt going to help you at all, especially if you plan on EVER going back there for parts, service, etc.

Congrats on new bike!
Doing the paperwork ensured me the bike I wanted. I did things I would not have normally done because it was so hard to find the bike I wanted. I'm not concerned I'll get burned on the deal, it just sucks waiting.

I'll not burn any bridges or make anyone mad, but I will certainly talk to a higher up to see about getting something from this.

I'm sure once I get the bike in hand I'll be happy. What's another week when I've waited for 3 1/2 years to get it?

Yup. My thoughts exactly. Waiting sucks when you're excited, especially when you get more unexpected delays. Hell, I get frustrated if a $100 doo dad I ordered doesnt get to my house in a week, lol.

Enjoy the ride and be safe.

And on top of everything else, they were the only dealer to get what I wanted. It sucks, no doubt, but my wife keeps my head straight.

Personally, I want to be on the road...
With this said, I'd chill and wait for the bike to arrive like others have mentioned. Remember, absence makes the heart grow fonder. You'll be enjoying that bike in no time.....

Not how I thought it worked. If they didn't have the bike you wanted in stock then you put a deposit down and when it arrives you then sign the papers and surrender your trade.

i would tell them to stick the scoot where the sun dose not shine,They will just continue to screw with you during the life of your transaction, warranty issues and so and so on(dealers only like the rubbers with all the money everyone else are expendable)I have been riding harleys since 1978 and i am totally thru with buying new ones and dealing with people that only now how to lie.

Well long story short HD Corporate had come in to do an inventory and asked where such and such Night Train was. Dealer said it was on the show room floor they said no that is S___'s bike that he purchased two weeks ago (See where this is going) Yep I had ridden out on the wrong Night Train. All the paper work was wrong with the wrong vin # on them including my insurance forms. Got the saddlebags in my sig pic and some other discounts out of that deal.

Be patient it could be worse. It could be the middle of summer. Good luck on the new bike.
Gosh ... why don't things like that happen to me ... I would have wrung those idiots dry ... law school is a good thing.

I have been given a loaner before, I would be at the dealership telling them a loaner (most shops have rental bikes) or should they say no to that, I would tell them the deal is over, u want ur new bike or u will accept ur old bike and leave, if they say no then tell them thanks u will report ur bike stolen by them and it is all about court. Being alittle shrill infront of other customers is another method of putting pressure on them. Of course if u get $hitty with them u might want to have any service work done by another shop.......
