Default Fluid change help

Guys, getting ready to change the fluids in all three holes for the first time (dealer did last time for the 1k service). I am using AMSOil 20w-50 in primary and crank case and plan on using AMSOil 75w-90 gear oil in transmission (previously had 75w-110 but my oil guy no longer stocks 110, only 90). Will I notice any difference going from 75w-110 to 75w-90 in the transmission? Will shifting be any different or will neutral be any easier to find? Also, I was planning on changing o-rings on drain plugs and derby cover gasket. I have already changed the oil one time so I am familiar with doing that, but I have not ever changed the primary oil and trans oil. Is there any tips you guys can offer for this do-it-yourself guy? I do know that the transmission drain plug is a little bit of a pain in the a$$ to get to between the shocks. I guess I should mention that I have 2009 Fatboy. Thanks in advance.
Frank

The trans drain plug is easy if you use a short extension on your socket. I doubt you'll notice a difference in trans fluid. That's good, you're changing the o-rings. I use liquid thread tape on the drain plug threads.

Don't forget to check your clutch adjustment and your primary chain tension while you're in there. it only takes a few extra minutes. I use amsoil 20-50 in all three. 2005 softail deluxe.

Thanks for the info. The manual calls for 32 ounces in trans and primary. Are these numbers accurate? Will each hole take the full 32 oz?

Yea, it will take 32 ozs. I have done this on my '09' Heritage with no problems. You might want to put a block of wood under the stand to make sure it doesn't run out.

I do not know the particulars on Amsoil 20-50 in the primary, but I would be more inclined to use ATF-Type F... warms up quicker and keeps everything wet. Do not know what part of the country you live and ride in, so it is difficult to say if you will feel any difference between 90w and 110w at this time of year vs the last time you rode your bike. Here in Florida and other hot weather areas 75w-140w works better in the tranny... also if you're doing a lot of all day for many days tour type riding, running the 75w-140w will keep the tranny much cooler and quieter
