Hey all, Went to Harley today and picked up a run brake turn mod part# 69461-06a. store was closing and forgot to ask if it was ok for a 2011 softail since the electronics are different than the 2010.
Got home and checked the Harley site and 69461-06a was replaced by 69461-06b.
So if anybody knows, Whats the difference between the 2? Will the one i got work or am i tradin for the b?
The b is listed as the part on the customization section for the bike.
99% sure that will work. I have the same unit on my Heritage but the packaging is out in the garage and it's raining. Pop the seat and see if the harness plugs into the turn signal/brake harness already there. You will have your answer in 5 minutes. I left my amber lights as they were because I thought those red ones that came with it looked kind of stupid.

Bike is a 2011 Heritage
Thanks in advance!!
Hey Jarhead,
Can't tell you what the difference is, but I have 69461-06B on my 2011 Heritage. That's the number listed in the 2011 P & A book. Kinda weird that the dealer would give you one of the old ones?
Thanks for the replies. Dont want to break open package in case its the wrong one. Ill probably just head to the dealer and swap it out.
I took it off the wall and paid for it quick. figured that was the right one cause of the bigger lenses. The dealer closed at 5 and i got there from a ride at 505. So they wanted to shut down and go home. My fault.
I like the amber lenses back there too but i need more red back there for night riding. I ride late at night sometimes.
Also if anyone knows any difference between them please chime in.
Thanks

I think they have the red lenses in the kit because *technically* many states require running/braking lights to be red. I doubt you'd get stopped for it tho.
In CA lights used for brake lights must be red. I don't know about where you live. I don't know if that one will work either, but when the letter at the end of a part number changes there is usually a revision to the part.

I believe brake and tail lights are required to be red--but even if not required I want the car behind me to know I'm stopping and not have to waste time figuring out why all my turn signals are lighting up.
