I think they look good painted.at least in the pics,wish i could see them in person.did you paint them?

painted the shields in high temp VFT...they turned out very smooth..just sanded the heck out of everything before painting it!

They actually look BRIGHTER in the PIX than they are..i guess a mix between the flash and the lights in the garage..

Ill try to take some outside/daylight pix..sh#tty weather about to hit WV over the next week though..

I was hoping it was the flash doing that, cause those things are bright. I will reserve judgment until is see some pictures with natural lighting.

yea definately not that bright..like i said they are spot on to the color of the HD logo on the tank.

I say keep it the way they are. I like it, but the real question is do YOU like it. I have a feeling you are having second thoughts.

I think with the wrap on the pipes, the "brightness" will be reduced. Right now the pipes stand out a lot, but the idea of the color accent is awesome.

Thanks for the feedback...I like it For Now LOL. Gonna do quite a bit more. Aircleaner n sissy bar next..gonna paint the inner circle of the aircleaner to match pipes

Quick Photoshop to lighten, hope you don't mind.




I got to agree with the majority Wrap.
I'd use the Gold color in other places to highlight.
But on another note: It kind of grows on you and nobody else has it "Yet".

I like it. Too many bikes out there are exactly alike. You'll get a lot of folks asking about the pipes no doubt!

One thing I wouldn't do is wrap pipes with shields. At the end of the day the only one that has to like it is you.
