As for other parts, the center portion of the air cleaner should be done tomorrow as well as fabbing the chainlink sissy bar...Progress pix will come to follow!
First remove the pipes, you don't want to do it with them on. Since the heat wrap comes in a roll, I first did a mock up to see how much I would need to use, then cut it off the roll. You definately have to get the wrap wet. I used a spray bottle with water to wet it down as I progressed, spraying maybe a foot at a time. Don't over do it though, just spray it a bit and use your hands to rub it in. You can start from top or bottom, I started on top. After you are done let the wrapp fully dry before putting the pipes on again. It's really not hard, the hardest part is bolting the short pipe back on, cause of the hard to reach bolts.
Thanx..Rode a couple hundred miles yesterday...got a lot of good comments on the pipes etc...Hopefully workin on the Chain Link Sissy Bar today. Will post some pix asap
Lookin' good! Smoked out lenses for the turn signals and remove the fork reflectors, and she'll be good to go! Maybe powder coat the wheels to match the color scheme??????
