what i did was get a set of take off pegs from a donor bike and cut them down to the min. amount i could still retaining the meat for the bolt to grab. they can be from a softail or a sporty as long as they bolt through the same way as stock softails do...
cut em down and replace strut bolts with corrected size to mount there.
Kids love em...and wife will sometimes use em to stretch out and lay back against the sissy for change in posture. shes short so she gets away with it.
as you can see i opted for set of factory mounts below the very short high mounts...highs lay flat against strut and when using lowers are not touching passenger legs at all.
