Default Seat Question

Hi All,

I took the passenger seat of my bike this weekend and bought the HD insert for the mount hole on the fender ($4.87 or something - cheapest part you can get I think). Looks good except that there is a small gap at the rear of the seat to allow for the tang on the passenger seat to be attached to the driver seat. If you stand behind the bike you can see down to the ECM.

If I buy a "solo" seat, will the rear of the seat go all the way down to the fender?

TIA for any info (pics would be great).

I had the same problem when i first took of the passenger seat.I ended up getting a solo seat.I believe you get that gap because of the way the seat is cut at the bottom. With a regular solo seat you should be fine.

I had the same problem, I was worried about water getting under the seat so I bought the diamond back seat and tail section in my signature below. I bought this seat because at www.zanottimotor.com I got the seat for $98.00 and the tail section for a good price too. The whole package cost me half of what other seats were running.

The seat is very comfortable but it must be used with either one of the two tail sections or with the passenger pillion made for the seat.
I like the tail section so it was not a problem for me.
