Default Help me spend some $$$$

Ok boys and girls, I'm hoping you can all help me out a bit. Here is my nightrain now. far cry from when I bought it a month ago(black cherry pearl). So far I have painted the tank and tins and pc'ed a bunch of stuff. added le pera bare bones seat, switched out risers and grips, bought alloy art fender strut mount signals, side mount plate, edge cut pegs and brake pedal.
Bike was already lowered in the rear but I lowered the front end.
Just ordered the flush mount gas cap and fuel gauge. Have the harley emblems but not sure I'm putting them on yet.

So here is what I know I'm going to do in the future and I would like to know what you would do if this was your bike...if you can't tell I like black but also have decided to leave some hints of chrome.

I am definitley going to do a new air cleaner, thinking RSD but he sure is proud of his stuff. Would like to do a spoked rear rim (let me know good ones please) Thinking I might go back to some apes (had 16" on my last scoot and loved it).

Just would love to hear what you all have to say.

Thanks,

J51

Great progress so far. I would def do some Carlini Evil apes, BLACK, with maybe some black High roller risers. As far as spokes, Ride wrights or sinister are about the best you can buy.
Maybe black rim and black fat spokes with just the Nip chrome. That would be NASTY.
If you do apes, get some black cables, and I would change out my gas gauges. Maybe to the LED black ones.

brotha... ya really gotta hit up that Photobucket Resize thing haha

black apes would look hot, especially a satin black or something..

something i'm doing to add some black to my Lo. which you might consider, is i'm having the inside of my rotors (below where the brakepads rub against them) powder coated black..

here's a dumb idea.. what about a smaller spoked front rim (back too), with a fatter front tire? sort of like the Crossbones or something?

If I do the apes it will either be RSD or Carlini's and most certainly black cables.

Thanks for the heads up on the rims.

Sarge, I'm on the photobucket re-sizing right now. Thanks for the ideas. I love the tall skinny front wheel so that isn't an option.

Thanks,

J

The triple trees need PC'd. You have so much of it blacked out already, they look like they were missed in the modding.

I follow 3 simple rules with the builds I do, comfort, performance and then bling. Has worked out well for me. If this was my build would look and contract cut rims and motor work.

Lots I like about that bike - color, engine, bars, pipes...if it were mine, black springer up front w/ black fat daddys, bobbed rear fender, round oil bag=perfect
