don't be afraid of the HD remap. Remember they did design/ build your bike and they are not without some skills and know a little about it. I am not saying there is anything wrong with any of the different tuners, just the HD remap is not as bad as a lot of people make it out to be. They flash it, they support it, never a warranty issue and you can generally forget about it. Had it on both my FI bikes 80K of riding them and never had a problem-one Stg I and the other a 103. The 103 runs a little hot.
Thanks for all of the great input. I will check with my dealer today and the one that I will be closer to once I move this summer just to make sure. From the sounds of it I will go with the HD cal to head off any warranty issues. My bike came with the 5 year plan so I want to do what I can to keep that on track. Thanks again.
Don't read up.. To many opinions..Check with the dealer who would be doing your warranty work..I have a 2011 and my dealer will not honor my warranty with the fuelpac, or any other re-map device. For the $20,000 I just spent, I took my FP off till the warrenty is up.. Did Stage 1 with my own choice/install of pipes/intake, let them re-map this one time ($150 BFD) and their fine with it..Just saying, it ain't worth voiding my warranty at this time.. 2 years from now will be a different story
Really? All the dealers in Louisiana will still honor your HD warranty with aftermarket parts on your bike IF THEY INSTALL THEM. That's the catch.
I'm on my 3rd Harley with the FuelPak and I've never had an issue with my warranty. Unless they can show that the problem is caused by the FuelPak...they can't void your warranty.

Your right as is jbg..But mine (closest anyway) will not honor any problem they believe is cause by a re-map they didn't do.. That's their catch and it needs to be a HD re-map.. Not all dealers are the same and I think mine just wants the bucks..in my case, like I said, for their $150 re-map ( I'm only doing a stage 1 for now anyway and they don't care what pipes/intake 'I' install before I bring it down), it's not worth a possible hassel, and down time..Now that freakin winter is over where I live, I'd just rather ride worry free.
The various dealers may in fact treat the same issue differently, but they are all covered under the same Federal Law, the Magnuson-Moss Act. They have to have documented proof the after-market parts caused the failure, regardless of who installed it.
