Any differance in the sound of V&H Bigshots Staggered and the Rineharts?
ORIGINAL: Fatbernie

I'm gonna put in my two cents and mention Rineharts. I have them and love them. These are the Softail Flush. Looks and sounds great. The V&H will make you happy too. Flip a coin.

From memory, there's some.. The headers are different.. Rineharts have a stepped diameter header, and the staggereds have the crossover. I know the sound of the rineharts is low, deep and thunderous.. "small block chevy" comes to mind as the first thing I said when I first installed them. Bunch of guys standing around when I first cranked it up.. Everyone's eyes got big while it idled, then I pushed in the choke and flicked the throttle.. Oh that was a nice moment. If I had to go with a different pipe, those staggereds would probably be in my top two list.. or just the rinehart or VH slip-ons. The staggereds sound nice as well.. I've heard them baffled and straight.. more of a Vance&Hines-ish sound, but in a good way. To tell ya the truth, I really loved how my longshots sounded on my old bike. They ran great too.
