I didn't see anything that made me want to pay $65 more over what I paid for a very fine quality bag LW makes.
The price alone isn't what made me choose the LW over the GW.
I didn't see a $65 dollar difference to go with the GW.
Both are made in the USA, so it was a win going with either for me.
I'd want to see both side by side before stating the old cliche as fact.
I'll be honest here and I'm not rich by any means, but I usually have a vision in my mind of what I want on or for my sled. With that being said, I search, make or create the mod I'm after and price does not really play a roll. If it's to expensive, then I save for it. If it's way to exspensive, I improvise until I can one day afford it.
The reason I liked garage leathers is because I wanted the old school swing bag, made in a garage so to speak. I didn't want the quick release or anything more than a leather strap w/ a buckle and a thick rugged hand made swing bag and that's what I got.
I also believe LW is a good bag, it's just not as old school as I wanted. It's all in what you want guys, not who's the best.

I know I've told you this at least 10 times, but your frikin sled is prefect bro!
If you ever want to trade for a black betty look me up. (I know, I'm dreaming haha)
I did look at a couple side by side, including the HD bag, and still chose the Garage Leathers bag. Also, for that nostalgic look, nobody puts a better looking and more durable buckle on their product. BUT, the reason so many good companies are in business is because they provide good service, good products, and everybody has a different preference.
I have an 04 Deuce that I just bought and I picked up my swingarm bag from American Sideroad Cycles, The Leatherworks Department. They are priced well, good quality, made to order, and the leather straps tighten down real well. Check them out.
