I like the look of the King Menteles but I think I will be reaching for the bars.

Stock bars

1" dia, 5" height, 32" width, 11 1/2" pullback, 8" Center

King Menteles

1 1/4" dia, 3 1/8" Rise,37" Width, 10 1/2 Pullback

Bars that I think will work out for me is the Burly Beach Bars.

1 1/4" dia, 2.875" height, 38 1/2" width, 15 3/4" pullback with 2" risers.

The stock bars are at a good height they are just 1 to 2" too far for me to reach for naturally.

My buddy has a set of Harley beach bars he just took off with matching risers, and all cables except the clutch for a really good price. Here is all the info. These are Truckbizz's old bars before he went to the burly beach bars.

Yep, I have been sending him a few PM's. Asking what kind of bars he was running and risers etc.

That is an awesome price. Leaning towards the Burly's like he currently using.

Will be giving you a call in a couple weeks to order.

Thx Drew

Anytime. His Burly Beach bars are insane. they are not my style but the bike is just beyond gorgeous and these bars only accentuate it that much more.

The Beach bars are pretty cool looking and can always be changed out if I change my mind.

I am too much of a chicken **** to go with 16" apes. Wish I knew someone local where I could try out a bike with apes just to see how it feels. The broom trick works to an extent. But the turns and stuff is what freaks me out. Also if I go on a 6 to 8 hour ride I may want to put a windshield on until I get to where I am going.

I've got the Burly Brand Beach bars (38.5") on mine. Very comfortable.

I'll let you know as soon as I have the bike back (I guess somewhere next weekend).
Picked up my bike earlier today, with the HD Beach Bars installed, and took it for a nice long drive. We had sunny 28°C, which is very rare for Brussels this time of the year.
What a difference these bars make! I now sit upright, no more back or shoulder ache. The position of the wrist is quite normal, no issues there for me.
The handling of the bike has improved drastically too. Making tight turns is a pleasure, both at low and high speeds.
Doing 140KMH on the highway is a bit challenging, but that normal without a windshield. At normal speeds, the wind pressure is ok.
One remark though: watch out in city traffic! 36" is wide, and maneuvering between cars could become an adventure...
I'll post some pics this week-end.

Nice! Looking forward to the pix. Here in the US most states you can't lane split like in Europe. We can't squeeze around cars like you can over there. So the wider bars won't be an issue when it comes to traffic.

My Wild One Chubby WO518 bars are 35.5 inches wide and getting thru tight space can be tricky.

A word of warning, the first time you throw a leg over you might just catch your junk on the end of the bar. I learned real fast to straighten the bars before hopping on.

But they are extremely comfortable and stable.

Went riding for 7 hours today. My back wasn't killing me like last time. I made an active effort to make sure I relaxed my grip on the bars. The last time I went out for a long ride 3+ hours it was really windy so I did have a bit of a death grip on the bars.

Saw a few people with beach bars. Only saw one or two guys with ape hangers.
