front wheel removal fxcw
The manuel instructions doesn't match my bike. I have a 2008 rocker and the manuel tells me there is an axel nut (typ.nut) yet my bike has a tight fitting 3/4" allen wrench fitting on one side of the axel and a what looks like a dome with a 1/2" allen wrench nut or bolt on the other side. My guess is it comes appart the same after the bolt but I dont want any supprises. I am just trying to save about 80 bucks a tire to have both tires changed. espicaly since this bike goes thru tires about every 5000 miles in the winter and about every 3000 miles when the roads are hot in the summer. I put on over 20,000 miles a year so i go thru a lot of tires. I started using the 240/40 18 from avon and it does seem to get a little better milage than the stock dunlaps. I just thought Id ask if anyone has pulled their wheels off the front and rear and found the same descrepantices in the manuel and if Im wright that it is a 1/2" allen wrench that I need in the left side axel nut. Man thats a lot of words for a simple question.
