Default Softail Electrical Issue

I have an electrical issue with my 2008 softail custom. The flashers, brake / tail light and horn does not work. I have checked all of the fuses and nothing is blown. It also appears that there is no power to the acc. fuse.

If I walk away from the bike the flashers flash twice as the security system kicks in.

I hace checked the earths and they appear fine.

Has anyone else experienced a similar issue?

You have checked everything I can think of right now. I was going to say a ground issue possible. Mabye a corroded fuse or two? Or maybe a chafed wire or two somewhere?

Definitely check for a bad ground, or a wire that has become exposed and is grounding out on metal. That's what it sounds like to me as well.

I have triple checked everywhere and grounds are all good and cannot locate any wires that have rubbed through.
The bike starts fine but still no flashers, horn or brake/tail light, although flashers operate as they should when the alarm arms.
I have also pulled apart every plug and checked for corrosion etc, with no luck, all are clean.
In the morning I am going to get a relay and swap the system relay and see if it fixes the fault.
By the way I have run a diagnostic check and I have no fault codes.

Are you running stock bars or were they changed and if so did they run the wires thru the new bars?

Bars were changed 18 months ago and internally wired. All joins soldered and insulated with heat shrink and covered with nylon braided sleeve.
Have checked all of the various bits on the bars and all will work if I run direct to the battery.
Going to get a relay now and replace the system relay to see if it makes any difference.

I'm having the same problem on my 2009 Fatboy, no horn, no rear light, no turn signals. Checked all fuses and connections and couldn't find any problems.

Did replacing the System Relay work?

You might have a look at the main ignition switch on the tank. Switch it to the run/on position and wiggle it left and right a little. See if you lights and stuff come back on. That may not be it but I replaced mine because it became position sensitive. I was having almost the same symptoms as you describe..

Does the Security warning light stay on when the ignition is turned on? On my 06, I had a similar issue. If the ACC fuse pops, the Security line should stay on.

If there is no power on either side of the ACC fuse, your problem is around the box. The feeds are on the back, behind the plastic fender extension.

If you had a wire grounding, you would likely have power at the fuse and pop the fuse repeatedly. Having no power on either side of the fuse (If I understand correctly) would lead me to the fuse box power source for testing.
