Ouch!!!.... That was brutal!
I had a clearance problem also. All I did was give it a couple of whacks with a rubber mallet till it cleared the floorboard.
No decapitation required.

The rubber mallet probably would have worked as well but this seemed quicker and more fun lol. Love your sled by the way it's pretty sick.
