Paint question?
Having custom paint job done on ride and wondering what the professional painters out there use for clear coat on flat colors? Colors are flat black and flat cream.

Thats easy,hot rod flats by kustom shop,it has the perfect low gloss/flat finish,i use it on the hot rods i build in my shop,,you can go to the local paint stores and get a flatening agent also,but you will need to play with it to get the right look,,good luck!

Most paint companies offer a satin clear in their product offering. PPG has just released D8113 Matt Clearcoat and they still have DCU2060 which is a flex and flat clear. Either of these can be put over a basecoat color of your choice. It offers better UV protection than using a flat base, or some just use epoxy primers to get that flat look (not recommended).
