just got a hell of a deal on ebay for a full set of harley diamondback braided lines to include throttle idle, clutch, front and rear brake lines...the only problem is that i ride an 04 deuce and these are for an 07 softail heritage....the harley dealer said that the throttle idle will fit but the other are not the same length...i didnt have time to check the lengths as i found the auction with only a few minutes left but im assuming the heritage lines are longer and can be altered to fit my bike...how hard would it be to do this?
even if i cant, i got the whole lot for about the price of a new throttle cable so i can always sell the others and still come out on top......
you can shorten the cables..
need new sheath caps, new cable ends, cable cutter and some 70-30 solder..
also be sure to measure the cable extention from the sheath before you cut.
this used to be the norm, (make your own cables).however I wouldnt have a clue where to get the parts nowadays.
we now live in a throwaway/buy new society.
