Hello,
Wondering if others are having electrical problems or BCM problems with their 2011 Heritage.
1st - digital dash readout says No Fobb - fobb in pocket, Then low fuel light and no gas gages, then no ABS, BCM reset by dealer.
2nd - heated gear wire stops working - replaced new one seems fine (maybe coincidence)
3rd - Heated grips stop working - waiting replacement - wires disconnected to avoid any other issues, Again maybe coincidence as it was not wired in but only connected to battery. no way to wire in with new low volt HDLan system.
4th - the worst yet - lost all lights (tail lights, running lights, brake light, turn signals, aux.light bar, dash dark) on the freeway 65-70mph at night. Thank God my head light worked on low beam and my old man was behind me so I didn't get run over.
5th - HD replaced BCM - Test ride, and some lights not working (i.e. one aux light, one turn signal)
Still in shop!
Bike built in 11/10 so not part of the recall. And it was for the BCM only which they have now replaced.
Anyone else having these problems? Do I have a Lemon? Any suggestions?
Needless to say I'm pretty ticked off with HD.
Back to riding my reliable yamaha, while my expensive HD sits in the shop.
I am having same issues with my softail. I did some looking and it is common with this bike. Lucky Us. I am looking to see if there is a recall on this at this time.
My husband is having the same problems as the #4 issue on this thread. He has to have his bike up and running and was wondering if there was a solution that anyone came up with.
I have had Same Issues and More...... There is recall on Bcm... I have had 2 put it. First time i was riding on 4 lane highway at night. Bike just stopped working. thought I was stealing it. This is common with 2011 security pack. I have had to replace 5 batteries , 2 bcm, 2 starters, Voltage reg, all lights. And now and now battery fried. Harley Never again. When I reached out to Harley Nothing so you see how much they care about customers. the 2011 has all kinds of electrical Issues ....STAY AWAY
