I have a 99 Fatboy that I recently installed the older model,(413 series), progressive shocks on. They were preset at the factory at 1" lower than stock, & on the softest preload. The ride is fantastic until I hit a good sized bump or dip, then they bottom out. I'd like to stiffen them up a tad bit, but don't know how much to go to start out. I weigh about 160 & always ride solo. Do I just start out with 1 turn, try it & go from there? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

that got you dialed in pretty close to where you'd want to be depending on riding style. They it was just slight adjustments after that.
