When I look at those things. All I can think of is the thought of being scalped.

Their ads should read: You like posing on you bike but hate the wind in your face while riding to your favorite posing site? We have the answer ... the Face Cage! It takes the feeling of riding a motorcycle, out of riding a motorcycle. Be as protected from the elements as riding in your car, and look bad doing it! Ask about our optional Darth Vader electronic voice box ... sold separately at $49.94.
Ah...I didn't realize that a requirement to be a "real" biker was to enjoy being hit in the face by a beetle at 70mph. Other than a beard I don't wear face protection unless it's below 40 degrees, but I never acquired a fondness for bug strikes....I wonder if real bikers can even wear sunglasses...or chaps....or boots....

I'm not fond of these but to each his own. I wear a half mask, so does that make me a 'poser'? It beats freezing my face off. I'm not sure what makes someone a 'Biker', But I'm pretty sure, i don't want to be one.

I have two serious safety concerns with those things.
1 -If you are going to hit something or in the case of an accident, do you want your face to be rolling around with those metal things ?. Full Face helmets are designed to protect your face if face protection is what you require.
2 - These will provide you with 10th century king Richard visibility range ? you know ? where Salah Aldien came from the blind spot ? , joking aside, you will NOT see anything with your peripheral vision , and I rather wear my wife full face or get stung with a bee in the nose, than not see something I should see sneaking up on me.
If you want bug protection, then windshields would do or even a 3/4 helmet with snap on visors.
But those are insanely UNSAFE !.

I with you surgeon, I wear a Bandana on my face when goin on long runs. June Bug or a Japanease Hornet hitting you at 70 mph F**KING hurts, I dont care how tough you think you are. Wouldnt wear one of those things though.
