Default Fatboy Lo Differences 2010-2011

Do any of you know the differences between the 10 and 11 Fatboy Lo's? I may get a screaming deal on a 10, but would it be worth it to go with the 11?

The '11 has ABS as an option, and has a new electrical system.

If you can find it, check the December 2010 issue of American Iron. There's a pretty detailed article on the new control interconnect (HDLAN & CAN) introduced with the 2011 Softails. It gives you a trip switch on the left control and a hazard switch on the right control. They basically replaced circuit connections with a data bus interconnect. You can use LED turn signals without an extra module with this new system. There are some additional protections built into the system, and lots more diagnostic codes. The turn signal module and hands-free security module were replaced with one module, the Body Control Module. Wire thickness is reduced, along with the number of wires. The high-current loads that used to run through the ignition and other switches are removed, replaced by a low-voltage data network between the switches and BCM.

Besides that, you can get the 2011 in Silver and Denim White which weren't available in 2010.

Get the '11 if you can. The new electrical and the ABS is worth it. But either way...the LO is a great bike. You won't be disappointed.

Somewhere on the internets is a Harley PPT that outlines very specifically what the technical differences are. I have one that does this for the 2010 softails, but cant for the life of me find the one for the 2011's but its out there somewhere

I think it depends on the screaming deal? I have never had any issues with my 2010 not even one. The 2011 does have upgrades, but I'm not missing them any.

So I guess it depends on the deal your going to get.
ie; if the 2011 costs $3,500 more, than get the 2010, the warrenty is the same.

Yeah, Kronin pretty much made it a wrap. Thank you. I've heard the gauge face is a little more "bold" looking.

Again, all... thank you. It's looking like it's going to be the 2011. Can't wait! Trading my Nightster in for it and losing some money, but the big bike is the way to go. I ride to work everyday, so I may as well be in comfort!

Would that be the "gauge" face I changed out already to something with more color?
