91 Has a Hiccup
Hey, guys hows it going? Ive recently bought a 1991 Softail (my 1st HD) woo woo. In the past month I've put about a 400 miles on it. Lately Ive noticed a hiccup of sorts at cruising speed. Its not all the time and jsut happens randomly. The bike has had some work done, has an aftermarket carb and intake. It starts up fine, warms up fine, and runs pretty darn well. The "hiccup" sounds similar to a bike dying because its out of gas. And its jsut like one little "miss" or something. Do you guys think one of my plugs is fowled and is missing or the carb needs a little adjustment. Its got pretty good throttle response off the go so Im not sure if its the carb, so I just thought I would ask what everyone thought. Thanks for any input.

You said aftermarket carb. Is it an S&S? Also does it happen when you roll on the throttle or is it just as you are riding at a steady pace? You say it misses like it is running out of gas. So I am assuming it is not a cough that you hear out of the carb.
