Default Windshield on FXSTI

I have never ridden with a windshield my entire life. That being said I now have some health issues that are making me look at a way to stay in the saddle for longer periods of time. I have a big road trip planned for the first week of June, Zion/Bryce/North Rim Grand Canyon...I get fatigued very fast nowadays. I tried two different Harley winshields and both gave me such bad buffeting my prescription glasses shook so badly I couldn't see. It also felt like I was being head slapped constantly. Me riding the FXST model I was wondering what brand/model# Windshield you FXST riders have found that works. Any help is appreciated, and ride safe everyone.

i use just the regular harley sheild on mine and it works pretty well. i get some buffeting but not enough to blurr my glasses. ive heard that those fork mounted dragon wing things work well against buffeting my bud had those and he loved them, the just dont look good in my op.

Try a Windvest, it takes the wind off your chest, and no buffeting when you find the sweet spot that works for your ride. Takes some trial and error to perfect, but a nice shield that doesn't look half bad either.

I use the Harley clip on windshield. The height of the shield makes a difference... it has to be just right.

here's a PIC of my WinVest ,, It was a 14in. I cut it down to 12in.

Works great on the Long Trips , I don't use it all the Time
You do have to adjust it to get it Just Right

I have a quick detach shortie (15" ) shield, when I am in my seat, I can see clearly above it, I tried slouching to test for buffeting, and also moving my hand around. I think some little buffeting is going to happen anyways. this is my experience, I still have to try it on a long trip.
