Sounds like the spacers are getting you.
Did you get axle and spacers with the springer?
You can get the complete kit from many after market places.
Take the axle nut almost off and see if a gap opens at the spacers.

When I'm standing still, I can't get a movement out of my springer front by just pushing down on it, but it works fine when I'm riding.
What brand of springer did you install? and did you try riding the bike with the axle torqued to spec? Springer front ends do not behave in the same way as hydrolic ones.
yes i torqued it to spec and have been riding it and i have rode my freinds springer and it feels way smoother
its a mid front end
if i hit a bump it holds the front end what ever way it bouced for exaple one side will hold in place at a diffrent than the other one side will be at h difrent hight than the other and then it will correct and another trip out the other side might be higher its binding up some how either spacers which im gonna play with or the rockers are needing adjusted those are the 2 theories im working on
do grade me on spelling i ride not teach lol
