My brother asked me to hook him up with a Heritage so I picked up this gem. I don't know much about these so I'm hoping I can ask some questions along the way.
It was pretty haggard. I'm putting this one together on a budget so I had to start with something not so spendy. I had planned to start pretty much bare bones anyway.
Here it is the day I picked it up.
Removed what was bad along with what I don't plan on using.
I've ordered some parts I'll be using but I wanted to throw some stuff at it so he could say yay or nay.
I'll be powdercoating pretty much everything and he's not diggin the spring seat but it's a start.
As that bike sits now, it is pretty close to looking like what guys in Japan do with old Harley rigid they cobble back together. Not a look that everyone likes, but I think it is pretty cool.
I got it from Auto Network in Gaston. Some of their prices are ridiculous but I got this one for a song. I've picked up a few bikes from there. They do all of the paperwork. Saves alot of time and headache. All I have to do is get a police inspection when I'm done.
you can get used nacelles off e-gay pretty cheap, I got 3 and a half from there, one is brand new, none were over a 100$, great deal if you PC, which by looking at the 2 sand blast booths you have you probably do in house. Also if you look at the kits online at HD, you can d-load the install manuals, which give you the rest of the missing part #s for the bolts spacers and such. A lot cheaper than buying from the steeler
