Can anyone with a Heritage equipped with a nacelle recommend a good way to tie down the front end during trailering? I'm concerned about tieing to the risers (after removing the cover) as it seems it might put to much stress on the nacelle. Thanks
Thanks for the link. I have a friend that tied his roadking down by the handle bar and ended up bending the bar. I've been hesitant to do it that way ever since hearing his experience. I have an engine guard, can I tie into that somehow?
I attach mine on the lower part of my handlebars, and no issues whatsoever. Plenty of clearance between the strap and Nacelle. It'll be near impossible to bend the handlebars attaching in that area since it's so close to the clamps.
Attaching to a crashbar isn't really going to give you enough side to side support IMHO. The mounting point would be too low.
Ive used the engine guard and I also use the lower fork leg around the front fender mount and a wheel chock in my trailer. If you use the lower fork be sure to use good quality ratchet straps and tighten it up , since you are not compressing the suspension you need to get it tight. But Im told that for a long time on the trailer it is better not to compress the suspension
