Took my 2000 Fatboy out after a spat of bad weather and after about 15 minutes on the road, I look down and realize my right running lights not working. The turn signal function still works fine, and so does the hazard function. The left running light works too. Unfortunately I don't have any tools here at work to look at the bulb, but could it be that simple?....or do I probably have a fuse issue?
Yes it can be as simple as the filament for the running light is bad.
Both the turn signal and hazard use the same filament. So your running light filament could bad and not affect those functions.
Sometimes its just a poor contact that a pencil eraser used on the bulb's contact and the contacts in the signal housing can make proper contact.
A dielectric grease should be applied to the contacts after cleaning. Just ask at a auto parts store and they'll have some.
