So the guys who worked on my bike all winter says the alarm system is constantly going off and he can't start the bike. The FOB is present but obviously is not being recognized, so the FOB battery must be dead. Yes I have a second FOB but the ride to the guy is over an hour long and I can't get the time off of work to go up there.
The bike was NOT put into transport mode the 4 times it was moved around during the winter and the alarm constantly went off.
I know what my PIN is. I've had the guy enter it a couple of times and it did not work - the alarm is still going off and he cannot start it. Yes, the battery is charged and yes, the run switch is priming the fuel injection.
The battery went dead over the winter and was disconnected a couple of times. It is fully charged now.
Does disconnecting the battery re-set the PIN to the factory default? I have read that it does not. I also called Nashua HD and they said they "didn't think" it would re-set the PIN.
Anyone know for sure? And does anyone know the factory default PIN?

No, it does not. I am surprised that the people working on the bike can not put in a new battery in the fob.
Wouldn't it be easier to fed-ex him a battery, or even better suggest he pick one up? They're not hard to find or change.
I already asked him to open the FOB up and jiggle the battery in case it was loose, it didn't work. Then I asked him if he would be willing to go to the pharmacy and get me a new button battery for it, and he said he didn't have the time. This bites.
If he doesn't have the time to buy a battery for a key fob or he doesn't know anyone that would do so for him, he has some serious problems. Run as fast as you can and get your bike back now!!!
Well it *seems* there is more to it. They didn't keep my battery on a trickle charge over the winter and it is not charging well. Might have something to do with it...
I met the guy halfway tonight and gave him my spare FOB with a fresh battery. We'll see what happens tomorrow.
i would get your bike out of there. If they are any kind of mechanic they would know how to disarm the security. Or be able to get a fob battery. I wouldn't have much faith in anything they are doing!

Shhhh that's not helping me any... they had my bike all winter working on it. It's all done except for this glitch....
