Save your money for some new bars. The 4" risers will only give you 1" of pullback. My new Wild1Chubby bars gave me 14.5" of pullback and were the best purchase I made. But yes...you will have to change out all the cables. But I'm telling ya...it's worth it.
Did you do the install yourself or have it done...if you had it done what did it cost in Labor?
I installed the Street Sweeper bars on my brother-in-laws FBL two weekends ago and used all the stock cables. His is a '10 model. I used the 4" pullback risers from HD on mine with the stock bars and they worked our great for me with no cable swaps. On my FB, the 6" would have required a new brake line.
OK, I love my new Lo but I have one complaint.. the bars are about 1-2 inches too far away.. I sat on my bike this weekend, closed my eyes and put my arms out, opened my eyes and sure enough the bars were "almost" there.. just not quite..
I'm strapped for cash after buying the bike, the exhaust and intake so I need to remedy this on the cheap..
I saw a set of 4 inch pullback risers that were fairly inexpensive and the description stated that it would move the bars back about an inch and no new cables would be needed..
Is that the case?? Can I install some 4 or maybe 6 inch pullbacks without changing the cables/wiring?
If you are writing about the HD 4 in pullbacks for the 1 1/4 in bars....the will pull back about 1 1/2 in...and NO re cabling needed. Buy them off fleaBay..very easy to install. I put them on my Lo for same reason....I'm big ....but not tall....reason for trading in my Dyna for the Lo ....anyhow the MOCO pullbacks will get your bars where you'll be comfortable...and won't cost you much. Quality is very good and my bars have NEVER slipped.
So to go with 6" risers the wiring and clutch cables were long enough and just needed a longer brake line?

I put the HD 4" rise 1.5" PB on mine with no need to replace any lines or cables. I thought i was going to have to because when they assembled it they routed the clutch cable over and down the bar. i just repositioned the cable where it came over and down without going over the bar..
as for the 6", theres plenty of cable to go with the 6" and I'm betting you can straighten the kinks/bends out of the brake line and wouldn't need to change it either.
