Default Pull back risers

OK, I love my new Lo but I have one complaint.. the bars are about 1-2 inches too far away.. I sat on my bike this weekend, closed my eyes and put my arms out, opened my eyes and sure enough the bars were "almost" there.. just not quite..

I'm strapped for cash after buying the bike, the exhaust and intake so I need to remedy this on the cheap..

I saw a set of 4 inch pullback risers that were fairly inexpensive and the description stated that it would move the bars back about an inch and no new cables would be needed..

Is that the case?? Can I install some 4 or maybe 6 inch pullbacks without changing the cables/wiring?

I did do a search, FWIW.. but there seems to be some conflicting opinions... most posts say 4 inch risers don't need to change cables/wiring.. then others say they went to 6 inch risers without changing them... but somewhere else stated with 5 inch risers they needed a new brake line.. I'd go 6 inches if I didn't have to change anything else, but I'm guessing that's too much for the stock lines..

I would like to do the 5-6" pull backs but I have the ABS and am thinking that a new brake line will be needed and from what I have seen the dealer will have to hook up their computer to reset the ABS once the line has been removed.

I installed the pull-back risers from a Deluxe on my Heritage. No change in cables or wires. I did remove one brake line clamp though...

Well.. I'm pi$$ed... I ordered a set of 4 inch risers that were supposed to work on my Lo... they just came in.. they didn't come with the top clamps and it stated it should work with "most" top clamps.. they don't.. looks like they are made for the one-piece top clamp as the bolt holes are offset and not in-line for use with my stock 2 piece top clamps...

I installed the HD 4 inch pullback risers on a 2004 FLSTFI and did not have to change any cables or wires. I got that extra inch or so I needed.

Save your money for some new bars. The 4" risers will only give you 1" of pullback. My new Wild1Chubby bars gave me 14.5" of pullback and were the best purchase I made. But yes...you will have to change out all the cables. But I'm telling ya...it's worth it.
