Default Thinking Deuce.....

Good evening folks..

I have a few questionsI hope you all can point me in the right direrection in. I have a 03 SE Deuce that has a 95" and a 5 speed in her and I'm thinking on taking it to a 103" with a 6 speed.

Do they sell kits for this kind of job?
Which brand cams, and pistons are good, better, best?
Which 6 trany is good, better, best?

Many thanks...

Joe

There is a engine/ fuel section on there under the tech section.
A lot of people on there that know there stuff re this. Also some well know builders on that section also who can recommend parts/kits and so on.
Not saying people in the section do not know but just a more specific section.

98" is as big as you can go without spending much more money for a stroker crank and/or case boring for larger cylinders. Your call whether it's worth the cost for another 3" but if you have the $$$, an all bore 107" would be fun in a Deuce.

Piston and cam grind is very subjective and will depend a lot on how you ride the bike and what your expectations are.

IMHO, Baker DD6 is the best but expensive.

You have missed two important build components; exhaust and fuel management (if EFI).

That was EXACTLY what I was thinking, just the other day I hit a little rise in the pavement and I was in 3rd and pretty close to full twist and the bike caught air and when the rear tire caught traction (still full twist) and the front tire started coming up really quick, so I did a quick shift into 4th and slowed to sane speeds again and caught my breath. So when I read this I was kind of surprised. But to each his own. My burnouts will smoke the tire off instantly and if do it a few times a new tire is needed....
