Default Difference between Road King & Softail Fenders

I'm in need of a replacement front fender and while the FLH and FLS fenders appear identical, I'm wondering if anyone can say definitively if they are identical. I want to make sure if I get a used Road King or Ultra fender it will fit my 2005 Heritage Softail. Thanks.

I don't think it will be a direct bolt on. I have been told that the FL Touring bikes are about a 1/2 inch wider between the fork legs than the FL Softails. I think that is why the dual front disk set ups fit the Touring and the Head lamps and nachelles are different as well as windshield .

Maybe with some spacers.

I can't say for sure but I doubt it will be a simple swap. My guess is that the fender attachment points on the fork legs will not be the same. I know they're not the same at the top of the fork, that's one reason why windshields are not interchangeable. Best bet would be to check with a dealer... Good luck.

Nope, won't even come close to fitting. Only Heritage or Fatboy will fit.

Thanks for the info. I can actually see the difference now. The mounting tabs on the FLH fender sticks out and down further than the tabs on the FLS models.
