I have a 2007 Road King. I have a 21 " fat spoke and recently installed a klockwerk hugger fender. I was told no modifications would be needed and that it would fit without any issues. Well the truth is, after just my first day ride, I hit a very small rut in the road which bottomed out my front end leaving a nice quarter size chip/ding on the top of the fender from it hitting the engine guard/crash bar. I recently had my fork oil changed and upgraded to a thicker grade. My bike sports the white gold pearl paint which wasn't cheap so to find this chip after just one run you can imagine just how pissed off I am. I'm at a loss on what to do.. Any suggestions would be appreciated.....
I love the look too much. I don't mind a little rougher of a ride. I'm more of a slow and steady driver... Definitely going to look into upgrading the fork springs. Ive been told Harley oem suspensions aren't the greatest. Thanks guys for your input... much appreciated..
I just put a bad dad full wrap on my sgs with no issues. Is the rake that much different on a rk? I did however get a spacer ( for lack of a better word) from bad dad to mount it. It is a 21" tire also. I have a friend who rides a 07 sg with a 21" tire with the big ol stock fender without issue, and his is in the factory mounting holes.
