How big a pain in the *ss are they to install? thinking about goin the kuyrakin fork covers/ fork brace/ gaiters/ no fender route (cause some dumb broad sat on my front fender while it was parked at the bar and bent it). Either that or does anyone make a chrome fender for a wideglide? any help would be appreciated.
it is easy! if you have the right equipt... i picked my bike up with a mold hoist and then slid the gators on... you just ahve to get the forks off the ground enought to slide them down a bit...

No problem at all on install:
more pics in gallery. Go w/o fender if you can stand the road kill! No problems so far.
Just a bit time consuming. You will have to get at least the front end off the ground and probably the front wheel off.I suppose you could leave the front wheel on if you had some help.In any case you simply slide the tubes out of the triples drop the gaitors onto them and reassemble. The ones that I have just fit in between the sliders and the top triple clamp so there's no need for cutting or clamping anything. One more thing I forgot to mention you will have to remove the front brake caliper from the slider and secure it some how.I tied mine up to the handlebars with an old rag.
