I would like any comments from someone running one of these on a Heritage (or similar)
I would be interested in the 17" (3" under stk).
I don't mind poppin the $170 if it works.
May have another deal brewin too.
I have a stock height lexan I may switch to. I'll either be looking thru it or the top will be right in my line of site. But, I'll bet the buffeting will be gone (or close)
I'm not sure how much the height of a windshield affects buffeting. I'm short, so I look through the windshield on my Deluxe and I still be buffeting. Some buffeting comes from below your windshield. Fork mounted wind deflectors may help there.
just bought one last week for the wifes new deluxe, she had a 17" HD nostalgic shield that was still a little bit tall, changed it out to a 15" w/recurve that was a custom order blem they had in inventory. Only had it out for about 50 miles friday evening before the rain came in for the weekend again, but she says it's much better now that she can see over it rather than thru it. Clearview can make your sheild any height you want ($30 charge) take a look thru their available inventory though first before custom ordering one if you prefer not to wait for the shield to be fabricated.

Will the 17" HD shield be for sale? is it clear, or lightly tinted?
I have a Clearview on my 2003 Heritage and I love it.
I went with the 15inch with the reverse curve. The 17 would still have been in my line of vision. The 15 looks great and the reverse curve really works.
I don't know how they make them for Harleys, but I had one on my VTX and they come down a little bit more on either side of the headlight and it act like lowers and prevents buffeting from down below. They can also add a vent too if you like.
I'm thinking 17". It's the corr height for me with the Mustang seat.
This buffeting issue is something I've lived with for awhile, but now wearing
presc glasses to ride/drive it's more of a problem.
I may even go full face helmet. I wore one for years (even before the lid law)
I'm reading on here that some people have worse buffeting with the full face??!!
And I do agree on the lwr/deflectors. I have them and they do eleminate 1/2 the problem. I have a few longer rides coming up & those are going on!!!
