Default front axle nut retainer

Ok I guess I'm paranoid, but ever since I replaced my fork sliders I worry about the axle nut vibrating loose (yes I torqued to spec and used loctite). I have the willie G axle cover and now often find myself checking to make sure the nut side cover's eyes remain level with the ground...anyone felt the need to drill a hole through the nut and axle and use a cotter pin?

No. Just clean the nut and cover and add a small dab of clear silicone to the cover. If the set screw becomes loose, the silicone will keep it on the axle.

Just re-read your post. If the threads were clean and you waited for the loctite to setup before riding, you're worrying over nothing.

You worry too much. BTW, does the axle nut even call for threadlocker? Personally I thinks it's overkill.

On my Xbones the front axle nut is a locknut. Said in manual to toss and replace every time it is removed. Can't you get one for your bike, that way you don't have to worry anymore.
