C&C makes a seat with a drivers backrest that would solve your problem. They set you back about 1" and 2" lower as well. I love my C&C and am an authorized dealer and sell at a discount every day.
It was a toss up, but I went with the Mustang seat and passenger pillion. If that doesn't work for me I will send it back and get the G-Tech explorer by Saddlemen. I will post my results here once I have a chance to get the seat in and ride around on it for a while.
I just bought a 2011 FLSTC Heritage Softail a few weeks back. I love the bike, but I need a different seat. I am a big guy, and the wife isn't exactly dainty either, so we need something wide and comfy for long rides. There are tons of options as I am finding out, so I wanted to get some opinions from people who actually ride instead of salesmen.
Thanks in advance.

Got great service and price from Chuck at C&C. Just ordered new Sportour seat...great for bigass like me and nice big seat for my bony OL.
Just for your perusal... new SeatSecure - for both single and dual bolted seats - to make sure your expensive seat doesn't walk off. Doesn't hurt to check them out on our site - still at the "launch special price".

C&C makes great seats at very reasonable prices. Call them directly...talk to Chuck Gallegos. They can make you a semi-custom seat for less than a mass produced aftermarket seat sold by a distributer. I just installed a C&C Sportour in leather with flame stitching on driver and passenger tops and biker gel for about $400. Quality is off the hook.
When I ride two up with my wife I put on the sundowner harley seat. Comfy for me, and she likes it too. Looks funny on my night train, but who cares eh? comfort is #1 on those long trips.

+1 on the c and c seat. i just did pretty much the exact thing. sport tour seat in black leather with flame stitching and gel, just over $400 also for my deuce. quality is as good as i've ever seen and they are great to work with. each seat is built to your order the way you want it. materials, stitching whatever. any future seats i buy will be through them hands down.
Indeed...its like a custom seat at half the price. Buy direct from Chuck....not a vendor. Chuck will make the seat to your requirements in a week to 10 days.
Are you new to riding or just dealing with a new bike. If this is your first scoot and aren't too accustomed to riding then I wonder if you should not give it a bit of time before you start making changes. Even though changing seats is easy there is always the cost and the risk that even a different seat doesn't work and then chances are you are stock with it too.
When I first got my Bones it was my first motorcycle ever. I immediately started commuting on it to work (70 mile round trip) and I remember there were a lot of discomforts that I had to deal with. Most had to do with my hands growing strained and my neck hurting from holding my head against the wind. I did not think that it was a matter of changing stuff out right away and instead I just figured I had to just get used to riding. After about two months, I finally started to feel like I was better able to deal with a lot of the issue enough to ignore them. Before I knew it I was not only completely acclimated to riding but I couldn't imagine needing the adjust anything on my scoot.
Anyway...maybe none of this is relevant to your situation. Just thought I'd throw it out there just in case...
