Default Detachable Component Fit??

Hi All,
My 2011 Fatboy is the first bike I've bought with detachable components. It has the windshield and seatback with luggage rack. My question is how well should this stuff fit? I have to pull or push on the tabs while putting them on their docking points to put them on. My dealer said that I don't want things to fit loose or they will rattle. I'd just like things to fit right so you don't have to wrestle with them to put them on. Is this normal or should the dealer fit these better? Thanks!

I have an 09 Fatboy and my backrest I have to pull the tabs slightly apart when putting it on. It does not require much force at all.

if you don't have to pull a little, it's too loose. And you'd rather have them a little tight than loose. It sounds like they're on there correctly. It should take a good yank to get the windshield off. But it still only takes 5 seconds to remove.

Thanks for the replies! The windshield fit is worse. It comes off easy but you really need to push in on the top tabs (towards each other) to get it back on.
