Default fuel mileage problem with pcv

Ok guys, so I've been trying to fine tune this thing with the help of Jamie at fuel moto, and I'm not sure what to think. My mileage seems to be not to bad if I'm putting along, but highway speed just seems to eat the fuel. I tried taking away some fuel in the higher rpms, and I've pretty much gone as low as I can. I checked the plugs after the last run and am just slightly turning white (not as white as with the hd download) but I'm still going through a lot more fuel than I used to. Any ideas?

First, I was told that tuning by the plugs is not the way to go. I too am using a canned map without the auto tune. The map was pretty rich (set for a 96" with SE255 cams). There are posts in the touring section where iClick stated to take your grid 5-20% throttle, 2000-3000 RPM and bump it down. You'll get surging if you bump it down too far. I was getting bad mileage too, knocked down the fuel by 7% in that range and I can cruise and get 43mpg with great drivability. I plan on getting an auto tune since this is basically tuning in the dark. The only way I see to get it right is to put the AT-100 on. YMMV

is there a way to just knock them all down by 7% or you have to work it out and do each one individually?

Yeah, just take your mouse, click on 5% and 2000rpm hold the button down and drag through 20% and 3000rpm. That will select all the cells. Then do a PgDn as many times as you want them to be reduced.

No problem. I can't take the credit, iClick is the man.

ok, does that actually do it by percentage, or just by number?

The number represents the percentage over what the default ECM programming is providing. So if a cell has a 7 in it, the PCV is supplying 7% more fuel in that cell than stock.

I tried the 7% and the bike really runs great and at first glance doesn't seem to be sucking the fuel back, but it's running a little hotter, and after getting back from a run and idlelling for a minute, the rear pipe was just starting to glow a little. Maybe to lean?
