Default low fuel indicator

Hey all, visiting from the Dyna side. My buddy has an '07 Night Train. Last night he and I were riding and his low fuel indicator light started flickering on and off. This was after we had fueled up and his fuel gauge read full. I tried searching other posts with no avail. Any suggestions? thanks guys.

Not sure about that light, but some lights, such as your neutral light, is triggered on by completing the ground circuit. If fuel light is the same, I'd trace the ground wire to see if it isn't being grounded out on something (rubbing against something maybe). Wiring diagram from the service manual and a circuit tester can help figure it out.
