Sorry to hear about your problem. The bike is so beautiful and I can understand why you'd rather be riding it than dealing with this. It'll come together and you'll be on the road soon enough.
Thinking 1 loose spoke wouldn't do it, but several would.
Did U check the spokes at all to see if any were loose,? I pluck my stock ones every spring and fall or U can tap with an object, I get a "thoung" sound when I doit.. U can tell by the pitch of each spoke if there loose or to tight the the average sound of most spokes make.
If all the spokes are equally tightened they should be close in sound
Would think its either loose spokes or where the spokes goes through the rim or hub that something is moving.
Either way I am sure RR will get it resolved. just sorry U had the problem to begin with.
U still have a Beaut-t-ful bike.

SECOND PLACE??? What did the first place bike look like??? The judges must be blind!
I know this sounds elementary, but at 1/2 rotation the noise is felt and heard. If the bike could be rolled slowly, the exact spot could be isolated, which is most likely at the 6:00 or 12:00 position. Has somebody tapped on the spokes to hear the sound? I could see a spoke feeling tight due to binding threads, but still be loose on the other side. The good ones will "ting" and the bad one(s) will clunk.

I have the wheels out in my car. I thought if you felt the spokes with your fingers that was enough to tell if they were loose or not. I will try tapping them with something later... something that won't ding them.
The first place bike was not really special but it had a pretty shimmery green paint. It was fun getting a cheesy trophy and a $25 tanning gift certificate, LOL
