Start printing out similar bikes off of ebay and craigslist. When or if the insurance low ***** you just point out some of the prices you found. If they hesitate then point out some more of the prices. I did that with me El Camino and they came up quite a bit with the evidence in hand. Just a thought that might help get you a little more.
my wife and I don't get to go out much( 4 kids), but I set up the babysitter and Nichole suggests we take the fatboy. Oh yeah!!!!
So we head to Corpus Christi (45 miles) have a nice dinner and decide to take a ride on Ocean dr, it runs along the bay. We stopped and had a stroll through the marina and looked at the boats. We load back up and head to the movie theater. Our show starts at 950, we get there in plenty of time, coke and popcorn, we are set. Movie was funny, it finished at 1220 or so, we head out and my bike has been stolen!!!!!! WTF!!!!! I flip out!!!! Had to get a cab drive us home, 129.00 bucks. Filed a report with the police, called progressive. Now I guess I have to wait.
This deal ticks me off so bad. I ride everyday on it, my work commute is 35 miles each way.
Such bullshit.
If anyone sees my 05 fatboy, black pearl in color, TX plate. Let me know.
I have been told progressive will pay actual cash value + up to 3k in after market parts. I have photos to document the after market stuff, and a simple search on harley parts will validate cost, other items can be priced on jp cycles site.
Corpus Harley told me that they would give me 9500 trade value. If they ins adjuster calls them they should tell him the same thing. I would hope anyways.
I will be able to talk to the adjuster tomorrow. I'll keep y'all posted.
Sorry for your's and your Family's loss, as i can see from the photos the Kids and Wife loved it as much as you.. Hopefully all will work out fast so you want miss to much riding.

Wow, that really sucks. I have a friend who parked his bike at a Hooters last year, he was having a few beers with another friend of mine - when they left his Streetglide was gone!...this was in a decent part of town too.

My buddy had his bike stolen during the day while he was at work. He works in Dallas in a large corporate building. They pulled video footage of the whole thing. 5 guys pull up in a flat bed truck (he had his forks locked and starter) 4 get out with two poles and they put them through each tire and picked the bike up like a chariot. Loaded in the back of the flat bed and was gone before anyone noticed.
Police said the bike was in deep mexico by the next day.
