Just picked up my new Heritage and i had them put on 33" samson dual fishtails and a SERT. I am getting quite a bit of decel pop. I'm wondering if i need to do more tuning or if everything is cool.
In my experience 'some' decel popping isn't all that unusual or really bad.
Mine seems to do it occasionally no matter how much I tuning I have done.
But if its doing it all the time you really should try tweaking the tuning a bit more.
I have the 39" cholos with the SERT and dyno tune, I still get decel popping sometimes. Are your pipes baffeled? Mine are non baffeled and think it's normal for decel pops once in a while.
I do have baffles. I only have about 65 miles on the bike so maybe it will clear up after this tank of fuel. It's not popping all the time and nothing i am horribly concerned about, I just wanted to hear from some samson owners. I had vance and hines short shots on my old bike, i like these waaayy better! Thanks!!!
Ive got Rick Doss rocket pipes on my train and they pop ,usually when i accelerate in 2nd or 3rd gear then throttle back, the cause according to some people on here is either a tuning problem or a leak somewhere, personately i quite like it, and as long as its not all the time i dont mind.
Mine were popping pretty badly after putting mine on my 2011 Deluxe. Decided I needed a tune. So I went ahead and got the SE tuner and an air cleaner and did it all at once.
