Default Identifying a hose

Bought my Xbones a few weeks ago, and I went out to throw a couple of bolt-ons on it yesterday and noticed a small spot of fluid on the ground under the bike, right around the back of the primary. I checked the primary for leaks around the seal, and nothing. I did noticed a small hose that looks like it runs down from the battery box, and there's no termination. I don't have access to a service manual to find it, and it's hard to describe to get a decent google search.

What is the hose for? And should I be concerned that a month-old bike is already marking its territory?

It sounds like the gas tank vent.

The hose is down in front of the splash guard by the ground on the non exhaust side, is it not?
