Sturgis or bust 2011
I live in Rapid City about 30 miles east of Sturgis and always looking for people to ride with. My old man is bringing his bike out too. I know all the scenic places to ride also. Here's 2 pics from last weekend in Sturgis lol...big difference than in August.

Just reserved a campsite at the Broken Spoke in Sturgis. I rode there 8 years ago, 2001 miles in each direction. I did it in three days each way. When I got home I said "I don't need to do that again".
Well, now its 2011 and I'm ready to try it again. This time I'm allowing 4 days in each direction. Any of you guys going? Be great to meet up with some of you guys.

My plan is to leave on the 4th. Average 500 miles/day. My current plan is to leave SD on the 13th to head back. I'll be staying in Motels while on the road.

I'd like to go this year.....finally have enough vacation and $$$ but I'm not into camping. Any good places to stay in the area that aren't booked a year in advanced? Most of my freinds have gone and don't want to go back this year. I'd be leaving from St. Louis area.

You could try the Ace Motel in Belle fourche..about 30 miles north of sturgis, last time I looked they still had rooms.
